We were met by a very pleasant chap who very generously upgraded our rooms FOC. The rooms were excellent, our room was a somewhat quirky with an unusual shower set up. The top floor bar and pool was very nice and the location was also nice for the adults. We were very close to the Gaslamp quarter which was very cool, our kids were a bit on edge there though. I'm not sure it is a perfect family hotel (for location, not facilities) but for hipsters I reckon it ticks every box!

I loved how comfortable the bed was. I felt like it was hugging me to sleep. I loved the air conditioning, the plasma screen tv, the fact that the snacks in the room were complimentary, as well as the waters in the mini fridge. I loved that the elevators and door to your room are activated only from your room key. I loved being able to see the view from the rroftop l, and that there was a comfortable sitting area and pool to enjoy. The bath tub we had was huge which was nice to soothe in. And we had a nice view. Overall, it was a nice experience especially since it was our first time in San Diego.

It was a very comfortable room. It's a great location for bar hopping and has some nice food places around to either grab something quick or even sit down. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

We couldn't stay at the hotel due to the hurricane, however, the hotel did not charge us any cancellation fees even beyond the cancellation policy. I wish I could visit there but definitely next time.
